The Averatec Buddy has one of the larger screens in the lower-priced tier of netbooks, a 10.2" AveraBrite LCD display. Along with the large display it comes with 1GB DDR RAM, a 160GB HDD, built-in wireless and Windows XP Home.

The Korean version of the Averatec Buddy is a rebranded ECS G10IL. The US version of the Averatec Buddy is reported to be a rebranded MSI Wind.
