The Asus Eee PC 1000HE is essentially an Asus Eee PC 1000H with an upgraded keyboard, newer/faster processor and a better battery. Sounds great to me!

This is the first Asus to hit US shores to include the newer Intel Atom 1.66GHz N280 (up from the previous 1.60GHz N270). The best thing about the new N280 is not the .06GHz speed gain, but the faster 667MHz front side bus - up from 533MHz for the N270.  The new processor combo in conjunction with the 945GSE chipset is capable of 720p HD video playback. Another major upgrade is the what is touted as being a 92% sized keyboard that is much easier to use. The 1000HE sports a 10 inch screen, a 6 cell battery with up to 9.5 hour of life, built-in bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n, and the standard 1GB RAM, a 160GB SATA hard drive, and Windows XP Home. Asus also throws in 10GB of free online storage.   onIt comes with a 3 cell battery standard and the 6 cell battery (6.5 hours) is optional. This might be the one you've been waiting for.
